Building Bridges for a Multicultural Canada: Small Changes, Big Impact in DEI

Betty's Law

As a lawyer, public speaker, and DEI expert with over 29 years of experience, I have dedicated my life to building bridges because I truly believe that Canada has the opportunity to be a multicultural and inclusive beacon for the world. My hope is that through dialogue and action, organizations will continue to align their efforts and resources to address the inequities of our nation and our world.

Measures as small as adjusting a corporate budget by two to three percent can create prosperous opportunities when allocated as additional funds to advance efforts focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion.

It is the responsibility of all of us to consider what we can bring to the table for change within organizations we are a part of. Whether it’s at a budget, hiring practices, or creating pipelines with community organizations, I urge you to take the time today to consider what you can do to create a more equitable environment within your organization and company and take one step toward making your vision for your community, the nation, and the world a reality.
